Rhythm Tap Melbourne, is a specialist tap dance school and company, based in St Kilda, Melbourne. We run tap dance classes and lessons for children and adults, and also provide cutting edge tap dance performances for stage and street events. The school is directed by world class tap dancer Grant Swift, who has been leading the way in bringing international tap to Australian shores for over twenty years.
As founders of The Melbourne International Tap Festival in 2005 (the first of it’s kind in Australia), and now producers of the Sea Of Rhythm, international dance festival, our aim is to deliver world class and authentic tap dance education.

TAP DANCE CLASSES
We don’t have a uniform. We don’t teach syllabus. We just teach tap. And with a focus on rhythm and tap roots education, even our littlest tap kids can hold their own in jam circle before too long. We recognise that some students are looking for an hour of fun and exercise, whilst others are looking for serious tap training to further a dance career. We cater for both, and everything in between.
